CS 410: Introduction to Computer Graphics Taught this class in Spring 1996. Some unsolicited post-class comments I received in email... --===----===----===----===----===----===----===----===-- I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed taking your class this semester. It was a lot of work but it was fun at the same time. I thought you did a really great job of teaching. Your lectures were well organized and easy to understand, and I feel like I got a lot out of taking your class. Hope you have a good summer! Tell your daughter thanks for letting us use her tinker toys. :) --===----===----===----===----===----===----===----===-- Now that all that was to be said has been said, (410 grades are in and the recommendation is complete) I can say (without fear of brownieism sp?, word?) that it truly was a pleasure to have you for my professor for 410. Not being much of a brownie sometimes has its drawbacks because it hard to say the nice things that need to be said. It is rare to find a teacher that demonstrates the enthusiasm that you have for teaching, always another explanation, late night sessions before projects are due, lots of sense of fairness, kindness and the investment of so much time towards your students, and the experience that one expects from their professors. As it is often the case that appreciation is hard to express, this time is no different. I have many good memories of cs410 and am rooting for you in the hopes that your thesis is coming along well with a minimum of obstacles. --===----===----===----===----===----===----===----===-- I took my final Wednesday, you should have it by now. The class was great, I learned a lot more than I thought I would. It's cool to understand what's going on at the low level of the 3d graphics library I'm using. This was my first Surge class and I was fairly impressed, you did a good job of teaching, and the camera operator did OK at tracking what was being written on the board, though there were plenty of times I wished I could control that camera myself. Anyway, thanks for the class.
