NAMED GREEN BUILDER OF THE YEAR

Boulder, CO; October 24, 1997 -- Wonderland Custom Builders is the 1997 BUILT GREEN Home Builder of the Year chosen by the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Metropolitan Denver.

Jim Leach, President of Wonderland Custom Builders, received the award at the October 23 annual meeting of the Green Builder Program of Metro Denver, which is administered through the HBAís Energy and Environmental Affairs Committee. In addition to receiving the 1997 BUILT GREEN Home Builder of the Year award, Leach was inducted into the BUILT GREEN Hall of Fame, which recognizes exemplary contributions to the Program.

Leach was Chairman of the Environmental Committee of the Boulder County HBA during the year that the Green Builder Program was conceptualized, and his company has a history deeply rooted in concern for and commitment to environmentally progressive building.

All Wonderland homes are BUILT GREEN and receive a minimum 4-Star home energy rating from the E-Star Program operated by Energy Rated Homes of Colorado. Wonderland-built homes typically include 90 percent efficient furnaces, sealed combustion gas fireplaces, advanced energy sealing packages, and engineered lumber materials in floors and frames.
